Summer Makes its Return!

Good Afternoon!

Summer has made its return today, with temperatures quickly making it into the upper 80s. Now temperatures today will make it into the 90s easily, and humidity levels are going to be much higher than what we have been seeing. This is making it feel like it is a little bit warmer than it really is.

Current Heat Index at 11:15 AM CDT.

With the return to summer like weather comes the daily chance for some isolated showers and thunderstorms. storms today are not likely but cannot be ruled out. A better chance for some rain comes tomorrow night as a cold front will move toward Bowling Green. With this system it looks as if we can see anywhere between a quarter to a half an inch of rainfall.

Day 1-3 QPF from the WPC.

So if you have anything that needs to be done outdoors, today looks like the day to do it. The isolated storm chances are a bit higher tomorrow than today with the front getting closer.
