Discussion:
The early part of this week has been filled with mild high temperatures and cool low temperatures since an unseasonably strong cold front passed through late Monday afternoon. It looks as if this trend is going to continue into the beginning of next week. The temperatures will be very similar, but the clear skies will be long gone. Friday brings with it the chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms, but overall rainfall totalas will be less than half an inch. A weak low pressure system will develop over Arkansas Friday that will bring the increased chances of precipitation for our area. With the development of this system, cloud cover will increase over the area. This increased cloud cover will cause for higher lower temperatures at night. The clouds will act as a sort of blanket keeping in the heat and not allowing it to escape upwards into space. Low temperatures are expected to increase from the mid 50s to the mid 60s for this weekend. Cloud cover will increase beginning Friday morning keeping the temperature just under 80 at around 77°. The summer time feel looks to come back around as next week begins. Higher temperatures and more chances for daily rain will bring us back to normal.
