Fall Like Conditions

Discussion

Skies have been overcast throughout the day today with temperatures hovering around the mid 60s. Our highs today have been dampened because of this cloud cover and will stay about the same as we enter into the evening. With Bowling Green being south of the right entrance region of the jet streak and sufficient moisture, we will keep the probability of rain around 20% tonight into early tomorrow morning. We do not expect anything widespread at this time. Our weekend will be shaping up quite nicely with plenty of cooler air advecting into our region, providing us with highs struggling to get into the lower 70s.

NAM model valid for tomorrow at 1200Z illustrating cold air advection.

Drier air will be accompanied by these fall like temperatures. Skies look mostly clear for your Saturday and Sunday, clouds returning Monday afternoon with a mild start of the week with another shot of showers that night. A slight warm up looks to be the consensus for the end of next week. I think 90s will be out of the question though.
