Calm Weather Expected This Week

Discussion:

Good evening, temperatures are currently around 70 degrees across southern Kentucky and a pesky area of mid-level clouds is keeping our skies mostly cloudy. A very weak front to our northwest is responsible for spreading these clouds over the area. This front will slide southeast overnight keeping clouds in the forecast. These clouds will keep temperatures mild and we will see lows in the lower 60s. A few spots could see some light showers overnight but most of us will stay dry.

Clouds and the chance for a few showers will continue tomorrow morning as the front moves to our southeast. Skies will become partly cloudy behind the front by tomorrow afternoon and our afternoon high temperatures will only reach the lower 70s. By Tuesday night high pressure will center itself over the Ohio Valley keeping our weather very calm. An upper-level trough will keep temperatures slightly below normal during this period as well. Expect mostly clear skies from Tuesday night through Thursday with light winds. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will be around 75 degrees with lows in the middle 50s. Looking ahead, our next chance at some precipitation will be this weekend.
