Hot and Humid Rest of the Week

Current Conditions: Good morning everyone.  Currently a surface low is located over northeastern Colorado and a surface high exists over the Atlantic Ocean.  The surface high over the Atlantic has been dominating our weather the past couple of days and will continue the rest of the week.  Along with the heat that we have seen the past couple of days, the humidity has been relatively high.  This is due to the winds being from the south bringing the warm, Gulf of Mexico air into the area.

Forecast Discussion: The surface low over northeast Colorado will continue to lift to the north throughout the rest of today into Thursday and will not effect us.  High pressure will be the dominating factor for our weather.  This means that we can expect warmer temperatures and higher humidity due to the winds being from the south.  Since we have some moisture in the area, a pop-up thunderstorm can't be ruled out due to the afternoon heating over the next few days.  The chances of rain occurring is very small.  Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s for the rest of the week into the weekend.
